Society Bylaws

Created in 2016, The Valais Blacknose Sheep Society (VBSS) is dedicated to the establishment and promotion of the Valais Blacknose Sheep in the USA.

The Society maintains a registry of Valais Blacknose Sheep in accordance with Society rules. It is the VBSS's goal to provide additional resources and flexibility to breeders to allow them to make substantial improvements in their flocks.

The most current version of the Society By-laws are posted here on. The Society may from time to time vote in accordance with procedures defined in the bylaws to modify the rules of the Society. All business of the Society is administered in accordance with the Standards and Practices as defined in the most current edition of Robert's Rules of Order.

In order to most efficiently administer the business of the Society, the Board of Directors has also developed policies for those items not specifically dictated in the By-laws. Policies may be added, modified or rescinded from time to time, as seen fit by the Board. Special circumstances may also necessitate specific exceptions to standard policies, and the Board encourages all member who may have questions or the need to petition for an exception to contact the Society at
